Scoop N Scootery is now open in Red Bank, the first location in New Jersey for the franchise that’s gone viral for letting customers create their ultimate ice cream sundae.
The shop started as a food truck in Boston and is now expanding its brick-and-mortar business, according to the company.
It has storefronts throughout Massachusetts and in North Carolina, Texas, Florida, and Virginia.
The Red Bank shop is located at 21 E. Front Street and is owned by local entrepreneur Kim Barcenilla.
It opened on April 25, when fans stood in the rain for three hours to get their hands on some ice cream, according to social media posts. Since then, the lines have remained consistently long.
