Police activity had shut down both directions of Interstate 580, east of Isabel Avenue, in Livermore, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP Dublin on Friday afternoon reported just before 3 p.m. both directions of the freeway were still shut down. Just before 3:30 p.m., CHP announced only westbound lanes were opened.
