Did You Know There’s a NYS Historic Business Registry?
I, for one, had no idea. I’ve seen historical markers and I was familiar with the National Register of Historic Places.
The New York Historic Business Preservation Registry is fairly new and was established back in 2020 sponsored by Senator Jose Serrano and Assembly member Daniel O’Donnell.
According to their website the HBPR was “enhanced by Chapter 146 of the Laws of 2023 by legislation sponsored by Senator Michelle Hinchey and Assembly member Carrie Woerner.”…
