Syracuse School District proposes $10k stipends for teachers at 13 struggling schools

The Syracuse City School Board will vote to approve a $10,000 stipend for teachers working at 13 struggling schools.

The vote will occur at a special meeting Wednesday evening.

The stipend is a part of the district’s Elevate 315 rollout. Elevate 315 is a new initiative to be implemented in 13 elementary and middle schools that have been either placed either in superintendent receivership or in the Comprehensive Support and Improvement (CSI) model.
