DEWITT, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — A woman who says she saw nine puppies dumped out of a pick-up truck down the street from her home in Nedrow jumped into action to save them.
“They were chucking puppies out,” said Samantha Peck, who rescued the abandoned animals. “Nine of them.”
She called up the CNYSPCA after taking care of the puppies. But she did adopt one of the dogs herself, and the eight others may be up for adoption soon.
Danielle Basciano, Director of Operations for the CNYSPCA, says the puppies have been cared for since arriving at the CNYSPCA.
“They came in very underweight, and they came in with a lot of intestinal parasites, skin parasites,” said Basciano. “So it’s really nice to see them with bright eyes.”…
