CNY Jazz alumnus Wayne Tucker returns to Syracuse for homecoming concert

Over the last two decades, over 2,000 students across Central New York have gone through the programs of the CNY Jazz educational pipeline. A few of them went on to great success at the national level as practitioners and college educators.

One standout alumnus, Wayne Tucker, will return to his hometown of Syracuse for a June 4 concert at Jubilee Park to inaugurate the 2026 CNY Jazz in the City public health concert series.

A Grammy-nominated trumpeter, composer, arranger, violinist, vocalist, actor, model and educator based in New York City, Tuck has released five albums under his name and performs regularly with his band, The Bad Mothas, in New York City and at major venues across the nation including Madison Square Garden, The Hollywood Bowl and The Tonight Show…
