SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Parts of Central New York unfortunately received some tree damage Saturday due to a few rounds of severe weather.
Most of the damage was caused by straight-line damaging wind gusts up to 60 and 70 mph.
There was some tree damage and also flash flooding reported in Monroe and Ontario County due to repetitive heavy downpours hitting the same towns and villages over and over again.
For any tornado warnings issued, including the one we covered between 1 and 2 p.m. Saturday for east central Ontario County, damage will likely be assessed Sunday or Monday to determine if a tornado did in fact touch down causing trees to fall in different direction or not.
