A police chief at an Upstate New York psych center has been placed on leave after admitting fraud.
WIVT/WBGH reports Aaron Adams, the Chief of the New York State Office of Mental Health Police stationed at the Greater Binghamton Health Center, admitted falsifying his time sheets and then deleting video evidence in an effort to hide the fact that he was repeatedly arriving late to work.
The New York State Commission on Ethics and Lobbying in Government, or COELIG, said Monday that Adams lied on time and attendance records and sign-in logs multiple times between December 2024 and February 2025.
