Onondaga County used unlicensed medical firm for 3 years to provide care in jail; 2 inmates died

Syracuse, N.Y. — For three years, Onondaga County used an unlicensed medical company to provide care to people held in its jail, prison and youth detention center, according to a state Attorney General’s Office investigation.

Two inmates at the Justice Center jail died under the company’s care and a woman’s baby died after she gave birth in the jail.
