Firefighters responded around 3:12 p.m. Wednesday to a house fire at 108 E. Kennedy St. on Syracuse’s South Side. Flames started in a second-floor bathroom and spread through the home, filling it with heavy smoke.
All eight residents escaped safely, and no injuries were reported. Crews knocked down the fire within 10 minutes and fully extinguished it in 20 minutes, preventing further spread. The home sustained significant smoke and fire damage, especially near the bathroom, but the family was not displaced…
