Police looking for more victims after Utica nurse practitioner, who once worked in Syracuse, is charged with touching patient

UTICA, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — A nurse practitioner who was actively working in Utica and previously practiced in Syracuse was arrested on accusations of inappropriately touching a new patient.

The Utica Police Department said in a statement that Viktor Petrovets, 57, of Utica, was arrested at the North Utica Medical Office on Monday, March 30, and charged with forcible touching. Detectives are looking for more of the nurse practitioner’s potential victims.

Detectives began investigating on March 16, when a male patient accused Petrovets of what police called “an invasive physical examination that the victim felt was completely unnecessary.”…
