Syracuse man with machete accused of threatening person near DSS office in Auburn

Auburn, N.Y. — A Syracuse man was indicted Tuesday after prosecutors say he swung a machete at another person outside a social services building in Auburn.

A Cayuga County grand jury indicted Daniel Myvett, 35, on third-degree criminal possession of a weapon with intent to use it unlawfully, a felony, according to the Cayuga County District Attorney’s Office.

Myvett is accused of possessing a machete and swinging it multiple times at another person on April 14 outside the Department of Social Services on Genesee Street, prosecutors said…
