American High’s fire scene for Netflix show at old Limp Lizard sparks alarm in Liverpool (video)

Liverpool, N.Y. – Teen comedy movie maker American High has ruffled feathers in Liverpool again — this time with a realistic fire scene that sent smoke pouring out of the closed Limp Lizard restaurant.

Using a real estate entity named Slice To Meet You, the movie studio bought the vacant restaurant on First Street for $515,000 on March 9 and has been using it to film a streaming television series, “Minimum Wage”, for Netflix.

The show follows a group of teenagers struggling to run a local pizzeria while juggling school, a manic boss and low pay. Netflix has ordered 28 episodes of 12 and a half minutes each. The show, the first television series for American High, is expected to launch later this year…
