Update, 3:17 p.m.: Downed electrical lines caused a small brush fire near the Wright Bliss fire station, the Key Peninsula Fire Department posted on Facebook at 2:20 p.m. Key Peninsula Fire spokesperson Anne Nesbit confirmed in a text message around 3:15 p.m. that the fire is out.
Peninsula Light Co. posted on X at 2:30 p.m. that the outage was caused by a “communication line issue impacting (a) power line.”
