As water levels at Lake Tapps continue to decline, the Cascade Water Alliance will actively bring the reservoir down for the fall and winter.
Declining water levels caused both of the lake’s main boat launches to close this summer, The News Tribune previously reported. The reasons for the low levels is that the Cascade Water Alliance does not have enough water in reserve to add to the lake. The White River is also not flowing well enough for the alliance to divert it to the reserve.
