Updated: Around 10 a.m. Monday Ruston Fire Chief Bruce Allen told The News Tribune that one person was displaced by a residential fire in the 5100 block of North Highland Street. No injuries were reported.
The street still smelled of smoke Monday morning as volunteer firefighters washed their gear after putting out a fire that devastated the top floor of a Ruston home. The upper floor and roof on the left side was charred, and the cause of the fire is under investigation, Allen said.
