Tampa Bicyclist Dies After Being Struck By Car On US-92

TAMPA, Fla. – A late-night crash on US-92 has claimed the life of a 68-year-old cyclist, according to officials with the Florida Highway Patrol.

The incident occurred on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at approximately 11:20 PM. State troopers reported that a Honda sedan, driven by a 23-year-old man from Tallahassee, was traveling eastbound on US-92.

Just west of Orient Road, the 68-year-old Tampa man attempted to cross the highway on his bicycle. While crossing, the bicyclist entered the path of the oncoming Honda sedan and was struck by it…
