PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – Pasco Sheriff’s Office deputies swarmed the Wesley Chapel area on Monday night, June 1, effectively shutting down a rumored “teen takeover” event before any chaos could unfold.
Authorities first caught wind of the situation earlier that day after receiving multiple reports that a large group of juveniles planned to gather in the area around 10 p.m. As a precautionary measure, the sheriff’s office immediately flooded the neighborhood with extra units to monitor the situation and keep the peace.
As the night progressed, several teenagers did show up at various spots across Wesley Chapel. However, waiting deputies quickly intercepted the groups and told them to disperse. The juveniles left the area without incident. The sheriff’s office confirmed that no arrests were made, and no threats to public safety ever developed…
