Tampa Traffic Alert: Water Main Repairs Extend West El Prado Boulevard Lane Closure

TAMPA, Fla. – A stretch of West El Prado Boulevard in Tampa will stay partially blocked off through Wednesday afternoon as utility crews finish repaving and restoration work following a water main break.

The westbound outer lane between South Drexel Avenue and South Concordia Avenue is still closed to traffic. According to city officials, the Tampa Water Department finished initial emergency repairs on the broken pipe and is now working on permanent road restoration.

Drivers should expect to see barricades, directional signs, and work crews throughout the corridor. The city advised motorists to use extra caution in the work zone and noted that traffic setups may shift as the restoration progresses…
