TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Florida’s first taste of fall-like weather arrives Wednesday into Thursday. It will be brief, but for one day the humidity will be pushed out by more comfortable air.
This is due to an early season front and high pressure building in behind it. Dewpoints will drop from summery mid to upper 70s, briefly into the upper 60s for Central and North Florida. This will come with winds gusting to 30 mph on Wednesday.
It’s been a long, hot summer in Florida. For some cities it was one of the hottest summers on record. And there will be no relief on Tuesday, with a steamy heat index topping out at 105.
But on Wednesday the pattern will change. Dewpoints will drop 5-10 degrees, and the winds will become quite gusty.
This combination of slightly drier, windy weather will make for briefly comfortable weather Wednesday night and Thursday morning…
