TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Laura Hall said she went to her local DMV office to make a simple change to the title for her mobile home, and that led to a mistake she is now trying to unravel.
Somehow, the license plate on her Kia was switched to the mobile home, while the plate for the home was tossed out.

“When I looked it up online and the DMV portal, it shows that I have absolutely no plate associated with the car that I drive every day,” Hall said.
Hall said she returned to the DMV but was told there was no proof that what happened was not what she had requested. She said she was also told that, to get a new plate, she would have to buy one.
