WESLEY CHAPEL, Fla. – A Tuesday afternoon at a Wesley Chapel construction site took a dangerous turn when a laborer plunged through the roof of an unfinished building. Pasco County Fire Rescue (PCFR) rushed to the scene off Strickland Avenue on May 12 after receiving reports that a worker had fallen approximately 15 feet onto the interior of the structure.
First responders arrived to find the individual had sustained serious injuries from the drop. Because the building was still under construction, crews had to navigate the unfinished site to reach the patient.
Once they gained access, paramedics provided immediate on-site medical stabilization before beginning the process of moving the worker from the hazardous area…
