Golf was never a part of Sydney Socha’s plan.
Like many high schoolers, the St. Ursula Academy senior was involved in many different activities. But everything changed in 2020 when she began taking classes at First Tee Lake Erie.
“No one in my family has ever played golf and it was one of those things where my mom signed me up for a class to see how I liked it,” Socha said. “They let me get my first set of clubs and I would just practice what I learned with them at home.”…
