Woman pleads guilty to lesser misdemeanor in south Toledo homicide case

TOLEDO, Ohio — A 20-year-old woman accused of obstructing justice in connection to the fatal shooting of 19-year-old Jasmine Queen last year pleaded guilty to a lesser misdemeanor charge of attempted obstructing of official business in Lucas County Common Pleas Court Tuesday.

The obstructing justice charge Brooklyn Cobian had been indicted on will be dropped at her sentencing, which a judge scheduled for July 1.

Cobian is one of three people charged in the homicide. Marvin Pettaway, 19, pleaded guilty last month to murder with a three-year firearm specification, along with three counts of felonious assault. His sentencing is scheduled for June 9, and prosecutors say he faces 18 to 48 years to life…
