NOVI — In a matchup of two teams who collectively have played in the last three Division 3 softball state title games, Grass Lake got the runs it needed without getting hits to beat Whiteford 4-3 in Tuesday’s state quarterfinal.
The win sends Grass Lake back to East Lansing, two wins away from defending the state title the Warriors won in 2025.
“We didn’t know what the season was going to look like,” Grass Lake pitcher Mo Conrad said. “We have a very young team, but it’s really, really exciting. All the young girls getting to go to MSU for the first time and just being able to go back is so surreal, and we’re just really excited.”…
