TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – While investigators continue working to determine exactly what led to the mass shooting at Toledo’s Old West End Festival, many people in the community are also asking what can be done to prevent violence before it starts.
The City of Toledo’s Save Our Community initiative was created to help address gun violence though outreach and intervention.
For nearly 50 years, Pamela Johnson has called Toledo’s Old West End home. Like many people, she’s still processing what happened at last weekend’s festival. But she says if the community wants to prevent violence, the conversation can’t stop here…
