Many Toledoans refused to let the Old West End Festival shooting a week ago keep them from enjoying other festivals the weekend.
“I have faith in the community and faith in Toledoans and the people surrounding it,” Catherine Hernandez said Saturday after kayaking in a pool set up on the Martin Luther King, Jr. Bridge.
“Everybody looks out for each other,” she continued. “… I knew I could be here and I could go anywhere and feel comfortable because Toledoans have your back.”…
