The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office reported an update in the case of Gregory Cronenwett, 71, of Erie, who died on Sunday, July 5 following a crash in LaSalle Township.
“Based on the findings of the autopsy and investigation, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office has determined that the crash occurred after Mr. Cronenwett suffered a medical emergency while operating his vehicle,” said a release from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
Preliminary investigation of the crash showed that Cronenwett was driving a black 2019 Ford Fusion southwest on South Telegraph Road when it left the road to the west, hitting a mailbox and continuing southwest over multiple private lots, struck a decorative wall, and came to rest in a private driveway…
