Commercial building in Toledo to be torn down after fire, battalion chief says

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – A multi-use commercial building in Toledo will be torn down after being damaged in a fire on Tuesday, a battalion chief on-scene said.

Crews responded to the fire at the building on the 3300 block of Maple Street near E. Manhattan Street and Lagrange Street around 8 p.m. When first responders arrived, heavy smoke could be seen coming from the building. A garage door was scorched by the flames.

Everyone was safely evacuated, fire officials said. No injuries were reported…
