Toledo City Councilman Sam Melden is heading a new community initiative aiming to make the city more disability-friendly.
“The resolution is committing to a policy agenda. The hard work, as you know, is actually making it happen,” Mr. Melden said Tuesday at council’s agenda review meeting.
He was introducing a resolution to be voted on at council’s Sept. 8 meeting. The resolution’s official title is “Committing to the Implementation of Policies, Programs, and Investments that Strengthen Access to Full Community Participation for Individuals with Disabilities, Older Adults, Caregivers, and their Families.”…
