TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG)- Residents who live near the Brent Industries site say they are concerned about whether chemicals involved in the explosion two weeks ago could affect them years from now.
Neighbors recall morning of blast
Carol Nowakowski has lived across the train tracks from the Brent Industries site for the past 60 years. She said she will never forget what she experienced the morning of Aug. 18.
“I was sleeping, and it was like a glass, like loud glass, like when it exploded. And then it exploded again,” Nowakowski said.
Owen Hoskins, Nowakowski’s neighbor, has lived in his home for 50 years. He said that morning is also burned into his memory…
