Palm Sunday, also known as Passion Sunday, marks the beginning of the holiest week in the Christian faith, a message of joy, sacrifice, and reflection echoed by parishioners at Corpus Christi University Parish on Sunday.
“It recalls Jesus’ arrival in Jerusalem and people receiving him with great joy,” Rev. Michael Geiger said. “In a matter of days, the crowds turn against him, and he is persecuted and crucified.
“It is the human journey,” the Toledo priest continued. “Sometimes we do all of the right things. We do our best to follow God’s word, but sometimes our hearts turn away from God.”…
