LENAWEE COUNTY, Mich. — A new phone scam, sweeping through Lenawee County, has already resulted in victims losing several thousands of dollars.
The Lenawee County Sheriff’s Office says in February they began receiving reports of scammers impersonating financial institutions, using technology that makes their calls appear legitimate.
