TOLEDO, Ohio — A person has been charged in Tuesday’s central Toledo shooting, according to court and jail records.
Lucas County Jail records show 40-year-old James Carter was arrested at 10:45 a.m. Thursday by the Lucas County Sheriff’s Office. Carter was booked at the jail on two felonious assault charges, which Toledo Municipal Court records state stem from a Tuesday afternoon shooting in the 1500 block of Nebraska Avenue.
Carter is accused of shooting the 33-year-old victim in the chest in the driveway of a home on Nebraska Avenue just after 4 p.m., according to an affidavit.
