BROKEN ARROW, Okla. – A Broken Arrow teacher is receiving national recognition while bringing nearly $20,000 in grants and supplies to her school.
Kelsey Snider, the kindergarten through fifth-grade art teacher at Highland Park Elementary School, was named one of 10 nationwide winners in Simple Modern’s third annual Stock Your School campaign after more than 175,000 votes were cast by parents, students, families and community members across all 50 states.
Snider was also one of two Oklahoma educators recognized through this year’s campaign.
Highland Park Elementary receives nearly $20,000
As one of the national winners, Highland Park Elementary will receive nearly $20,000 in classroom grants and school supplies, including:
- A $1,000 classroom grant for Snider
- $500 to fulfill her classroom wish list
- 500 Simple Modern reusable water bottles for students
- 100 Getaway Bags for teachers and staff
The prizes are designed to support both classrooms and the school community as students head into the new school year.
