TULSA, Okla. – A 16-year-old was taken into custody after Tulsa police said he tried to drive away during a traffic stop and later registered a 0.14 on a breathalyzer test.
Police said an officer spotted a black Nissan Altima swerving quickly from side to side in a busy parking lot near 21st Street and Garnett Road around 9:51 p.m. on Aug. 21.
According to police, the driver had bloodshot, watery eyes and refused to answer officers’ questions. When officers asked him to get out of the vehicle, police said he shifted the car into drive.
