Teachers union raises heat concerns as Tulsa schools work to fix cooling problems
TULSA, Okla. – Some parents and the teachers’ union are worried it’s too hot for kids to be in some Tulsa Public Schools classrooms. AC units at several schools are struggling during this heat.
Crews are working on about 180 work orders to get air conditioning going, but now the Tulsa Classroom Teachers Association may ask for school closures as a matter of health and safety.
