Historic Blue Dome building lights up for the first time in decades for Tulsa’s 918 Day

TULSA, Okla. — The historic Blue Dome is shining again ahead of Tulsa’s 918 Day celebrations and for the Route 66 Centennial.

One of the most recognizable landmarks in Tulsa — the Blue Dome building downtown — is shining bright as of Thursday night for the first time in decades.

“This lighting is more than the completion of a renovation project,” said Jo Armstrong. “It is a celebration of Tulsa’s history, the legacy of Route 66, and the community partnerships that help preserve these important places for future generations.”…
