TULSA, Okla. — Kids in Tulsa are taking matters into their own hands. On Sunday, a group of kids raised money to support the Tulsa Public Schools district.
We reported earlier this month about the budget shortfall at Tulsa Public Schools resulting in possible school closures. However, over the weekend, one group of kids started selling lemonade and other drinks to try and save a few of the schools.
They called the fundraiser “Sip for Schools.” The proceeds of their sales will go towards The Foundation for Tulsa Schools.
The lemonade stand was in Darlington Park. They sold lemonade from 2 p.m. until supplies were out…
