Snow is tapering off quickly Monday morning as the compact and strong upper-level low ejects out of the Red River Valley into Western Arkansas.
The early morning commute will continue to offer some snow on roadways in some locations in the metro with much higher amounts in the surrounding areas.

Snow will begin melting fast later Monday morning into the early afternoon with rising temps and the addition of more drivers on roadways.
By midday to early afternoon, most of the precip will be gone but may linger slightly longer across extreme eastern OK and northwestern Arkansas.
Breezy north winds with decreasing clouds and afternoon highs in the mid to upper 40s will be likely with some spots in the lower 50s across southeastern Oklahoma.

A gradual warming trend is likely through Thursday before another front arrives impacting our weather into the weekend.
Colder air filters into the state Friday with additional cold air this weekend. Morning lows in the upper 20s and lower 30s will be followed by daytime highs only in the lower 40s Saturday afternoon and in the lower 50s Sunday.
