Man sentenced to 11 years in prison for robbery spree targeting Asian-owned businesses

TIGARD, Ore. (KATU) — A man found guilty of robberies targeting Asian-owned businesses in the Tigard and Tualatin area late last year has been sentenced to more than 11 years in prison.

Jose Manuel Escobar De Loera was found guilty last month on two counts of first-degree robbery, two counts of second-degree robbery and two counts of first-degree theft.

A Washington County circuit court judge sentenced him to 135 months in prison, the Washington County District Attorney’s Office said on Tuesday…
