Portland riders face longer commutes under TriMet cuts

PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) – For people stepping on and off the MAX in downtown Portland, it is hard to miss all the signs telling them they might have to change their commute.

“It’s going to be longer,” said Kat Moore, who takes the MAX Green Line to work every day.

Sunday marks what TriMet is calling one of its largest service changes in recent history. The transit agency is adjusting 33 bus lines and the MAX Green Line to help address a long-term budget deficit…
