1 killed, 2 seriously hurt in head-on crash on Hwy 30 near Rainier

COLUMBIA COUNTY, Ore. (KPTV) – A man was killed and two other people were seriously hurt in a crash on Highway 30 on Sunday evening, according to Oregon State Police.

The crash happened just after 7 p.m. near Rainier. OSP said a gray Subaru Outback was going westbound when it crossed into the eastbound lane and crashed head-on with a red Ford Focus.

The driver of the Ford, 62-year-old Randy Charles Bloom, of Scappoose, died at the scene. A passenger in the Ford, a 59-year-old woman from Scappoose, suffered serious injuries and was taken to a hospital…
