VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Friday morning at Lynnhaven Mall in Virginia Beach, the Red Cross was out for blood.
“The need for blood is very important,” said Tiffany McClain with the Red Cross. “As we go into the summer months, we tend to see a decline in donations, so we’re actually in an emergency appeal right now, which means every blood type is needed. We’re actually 25% down in collections from June.”
