CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — One man died following a motorboat striking a pilling and stationary dock on the Elizabeth River in Chesapeake, according to the Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources.
It happened on July 18 in the area of Quailshire Court at approximately 5:50 p.m.
Officials said three occupants were traveling upriver in a 26-foot center console motorboat when it hit a pilling and stationary dock, causing one person to be ejected from the vessel.
