CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — The Chesapeake Cares Resource Center is asking the community for food donations.
The facility, located at 2255 Steppingstone Square, assists those who are experiencing homelessness meet their basic needs. It provides access to showers, laundry services, breakfast, lunch and a place to receive mail.
Currently, they are requesting grab-and-go food items including oatmeal packets, Easy Mac cups or bowls, granola bars, Nutri-Grain bars, fruit cups, peanut butter crackers and other individually packaged snacks…
