Arrest Made in Tragic Case
NORFOLK, Va. – In a significant development, the Norfolk Police Department has made a decisive move in the investigation of a homicide that shook the local community in early December. Taikisha C. Swift, aged 35, was arrested on January 25, bringing a ray of hope to a case that has lingered in the minds of Norfolk residents.

Early Morning Tragedy Unfolds
The quiet of an early December morning was shattered when, at approximately 5:20 a.m. on December 9, authorities were alerted to a distressing scene at the Econo Lodge, situated at 865 N. Military Highway. Responding officers were met with a harrowing sight: 52-year-old Charles F. Moore, found with a life-threatening gunshot wound.
Despite the immediate response, Moore’s injuries proved fatal, and he was pronounced dead at the scene, leaving the community reeling and demanding answers.
