Navy SEAL trainee who was paroled for 1995 killing back in prison for parole violation

STAUNTON, Va. (WAVY) — Dustin “Dusty” Turner, a former Navy SEAL trainee who had been granted parole earlier this year after being in prison since 1995 for the killing of Jennifer Evans, is back in prison on Tuesday after a parole violation, his attorney said, because he didn’t inform his parole officer of two significant relationships.

“Because of what he was convicted of, he has to register as a sex offender under Virginia law,” Turner’s attorney, Steve Northup, said Only On 10, “and so basically, he’s supposed to make sure that any person with whom he engages in a sigificant relationship knows that he’s a registered sex offender.”

Northup says the two women he was with are old friends and strong supporters of his, and they’re extremely upset he’s back behind bars…
