Metro Announces Juneteenth Holiday Schedule, Capital Pride Detours, And Upcoming Bus Route Changes

Metro riders should prepare for several service adjustments this weekend due to the Juneteenth holiday on Friday, June 19, Capital Pride events throughout Washington, D.C., and systemwide bus service changes taking effect Sunday, June 21.

Metro also announced that previously scheduled track work related to construction of the second entrance at Crystal City Station has been canceled after crews completed the work ahead of schedule.

For Juneteenth on Friday, Metro Rail will operate on a weekend schedule, though weekday fares will remain in effect. Trains will run during normal operating hours, and Metro-owned parking garages and lots will be free to use, as they are on holidays and weekends…
