Man hurt, 2 arrested in Alexandria shooting: Police

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (DC News Now) — Two men were arrested in connection with a Sunday shooting that left a man hurt, according to the Alexandria Police Department (APD).

Police said officers were called shortly after 8:30 a.m. to reports of shots fired in the 100 block of Ellsworth Street. There, officers spotted a vehicle of interest that matched the witness description leaving the scene.

Officers located the vehicle in the 500 block of Dulaney Street, where the two men inside attempted to run from the scene on foot. Police and an APD K9 located the suspects a short distance away and took them into custody.
